What? A series of workshops teaching beginner-level “maker” skills (e.g., CAD, 3D printing, etc.) through mini-projects where we work together to address a given challenge (e.g., boat building, egg drops, etc.). We seek to equip the future generations of scientists and engineers with the interdisciplinary skillset to confidently attempt to build solutions to problems they face as a team.
Who? Roughly 10-20 students grades 9-10 guided by our experienced Let’s Talk Science volunteers (current undergraduate/graduate and alumni UofT students)
Where? University of Toronto St. George campus, Gerstein Library (MADLab), 9 King's College Cir, Toronto, ON M5S 1A5
When? One week (Monday - Friday, ~9am-4or 5pm): July 15 - 19
